Your First Pune Social Run: What to Expect

A social run is different from a race. The aim is to move together and enjoy the morning, not to prove a pace. Look for an event that states whether walkers and beginners are welcome, and wear footwear that is already comfortable for you.

Bring water if the plan calls for it, arrive on time, and tell the host your preferred pace. A good group will make it clear where the route starts and ends, how the pace groups work, and what happens if someone wants to stop early.

If you are coming alone, say so. That is useful information for a host, not something to apologise for. The easiest conversations often start after the run, when everyone has a shared experience and a little time to relax.
